SHARONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - The first ever CET Art Show and Sales is being held on Thursday from 6pm-8pm. The show will be held at Champion Window’s showroom in Sharonville.
“I think this is a wonderful idea and I’m proud to say the Champion Window showroom will be a perfect venue. We have a wonderful space to host an event like this and we’re excited to have Montgomery Inn on board”, said Don Jones, President and C.O.O of Champion and chair of the 2013 Action Auction.
CET, Greater Cincinnati’s PBS Station, typically sells donated art during the televised auction, which will be held April 10 through April 13, but staff and volunteers decided to try a separate art sale this year.
“We absolutely love getting donated art for the auction, but it can be difficult to sell during the Action Auction. You only have two minutes to see the art and it’s hard to tell if a particular piece will fit your home when you’re seeing it on TV,” said Joycee Simendinger, the CET Events Manager who oversees the auction. “We thought we’d try having a separate art sale this year so people could get a better look at the artwork we have available and see what might fit with their tastes and décor.”
The show and sale will include paintings, photographs, sculpture, pottery, fabric art, decorative pieces and chandeliers. Some additional non-art items also will be on display.
Proceeds from the event ensure that we can continue to provide quality programs and services to the community.
