New exhibition celebrates artists making a positive impact on Cincinnati | Arts & Culture

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Visionaries & Voices, a non-profit arts organization in Cincinnati supporting artists with disabilities is hosting, Urban Express at V&V Gallery & Garden on Saturday, July 16 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Urban Express is an art exhibition that explores and promotes positive community values by bringing together visual art, live music, poetry, dance, and food.
It’s a celebration for artists who make a positive impact in Cincinnati.
Happen Inc, a local non-profit arts organization, will be the host and M.C. for the day and also be exhibiting artwork from an open art studio class that V&V artists’ Lamar Madison and Andrew Thompson partnered on.
Experience performances by spoken word artists Vernon (Elament) Jackson and David Shelton, live music by Iolite and Black Stravinsky, visual artwork y 45 artists including a collaboration between Courttney Cooper, Ali Calis, and Ryan Little, freestyle rap artists Lamar Madison and Antonio Denton, and breakdancers with music by DJ Mowgli.
Shop the new Outsider Artwear™ t-shirt clothing line. Outsider Artwear™ has teamed up with V&V artists to showcase a selection of unique artwork on screenprinted t-shirts for all ages.
V&V artists have been developing this exhibition to include as many artistic elements that they feel represent unity and community. “Urban Express is an exciting art event with amazing talent that has something for the entire family to be inspired by and enjoy,” states V&V marketing director Nick Paddock.
