Local woman kisses iguana in honor of baroque music | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Characters)
CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Tina Gutierrez of Northside is a big supporter of Cincinnati's Catacoustic Consort - a group that specializes in performing renaissance and baroque music on the original instruments.
That's the premise for why she kissed an iguana on the snout, on a dare, while on the island of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles recently, while it was recorded on video. She hopes to inspire people to donate to Catacoustic.
The island iguanas are docile plant eaters. When this one gets its kiss, it backs up a couple of inches, then resumes munching on the treat that Gutierrez gave it.
Catacoustic plays several concerts a year at churches and other venues. they're at www.catacoustic.com.
