Free Friday film nights for Black History Month | Community Spirit

KENNEDY HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) - In celebration of Black History Month, the Empowerment Coalition is sponsoring two special movie nights at Kennedy Heights Arts Center to showcase the history and culture of African Americans.
On Friday, February 8 at 7pm, a powerful documentary film titled "Hidden Colors" will be shown. This documentary is based on the untold history of people of color around the globe, provided with commentary from scholars and historians.
The second movie night will be held the following Friday, February 15 at 7pm. "Something the Lord Made" is a film about a medical partnership of two pioneering surgeons at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. The unique relationship between a black man and a white man is vividly shown through this HBO feature film.
Popcorn and refreshments will be provided to ensure for a movie theatre atmosphere.
This event is free and open to all ages, however space is limited so anyone olanning to attend should RSVP.
