CINCINNATI (FOX19) – Cincinnati Police say DNA evidence led them to a 19-year-old suspect in an armed taxi cab robbery 6 months after the robbery happened.

The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team arrested Macarthur Jackson of Evanston on Thursday,  March 22, 2012.

Jackson was identified by the Hamilton County Crime Laboratory after examining a .44 caliber Marlin rifle and a jacket that were ditched near the robbery scene and recovered by a Cincinnati Police K-9 Unit on September 19, 2011.  A police court filing says DNA from Jackson was found on the jacket.  Police say he aimed the rifle at the cab driver during the robbery.

Cincinnati Police have charged him with the aggravated robbery of the taxi cab driver.   He is also facing a felony cocaine possession charge from last September.
