Highfield Discovery Garden wins Horiculture Society Award | Environment

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Highfield Discovery Garden at Glenwood Gardens was given a top award from the Cincinnati Horticultural Society.

Glenwood Gardens was given the Gardener Recognition Award. Each year the CHS recognizes residents, businesses and communities who create attractive outdoor spaces.

Nominees are recognized by the community and judged by a team of local gardeners and members of the Cincinnati Horticultural Society. Highfield Discovery Garden received an engraved stake acknowledging their award for display in the garden. 

Highfield Discovery Garden was designed to encourage children to explore the natural world in a fun engaging environment. Elements include a Frog & Toad Garden with a pond, Vegetable Garden, Grandma’s Scent Garden and a Butterfly Garden. Last year, more than 34,000 visitors enjoyed exploring and learning in the 12-acre garden, which is maintained by dedicated volunteers and staff.
