CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19 - )What in the world is lawn bowling? Those who are curious can find out by joining a Lawn Bowling League at the Little Miami Golf Center in Newtown. The Cincinnati Lawn Bowling Club, Hamilton County Park District and the Anderson Township Park District are excited to offer the league for a second season! The new session will begin Monday, June 6 and runs Mondays through July 25.
Sessions will open at 6:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10:00 am on Saturdays. The league will be seven weeks, with instruction and practice the first week, regular play for five weeks and a championship game the final week. Cost is $60.00 per team and the first two times out are free. All equipment is provided for free as well.
Lawn bowling is suitable for all ages and can be played with two people or two teams. It is very unique, but has some similarities to curling and bocce.
