Armed robber shot and killed by store clerks | News
SPRINGFIELD TWP, OH (FOX19) -
A robbery suspect was shot and killed by two gas station clerks overnight.
Springfield Township Police were called to Sunoco at 10960 Hamilton Avenue at 12:30 a.m. Monday for a report of a robbery in progress. Officers say the suspect showed a gun to the clerks during the robbery. They were also armed and fired at the suspect as he left the store.
Police found him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when they arrived on scene. That's where he was pronounced dead.
According to the 911 call, the suspect fired shots first.
The robbery suspect is being described as a black male in his late teens or early 20's. The clerks inside the store were not hurt.
Police have identified the shooting victim, but are not releasing his name until his family is notified.
