CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) - Traffic will be a lot heavier in Clifton beginning Wednesday as UC students head back to class.
School officials announced this week that the school will have record enrollment this semester. The university is projecting a total enrollment of 41,250 students – up four percent from last autumn.
UC's new president, Dr. Gregory Williams, was officially sworn in during a ceremony last weekend. He says he's focused on setting goals for the university, like increasing retention and graduation rates and upping the ranking of UC in U.S. News and World Report to be in the top 100 universities in the country.
For the first time ever, a high school in Dayton, Ohio is among the Top 10 list of high schools sending students to UC, so the draw to be a Bearcat is extending beyond Cincinnati metro area.
