Cincinnati State to offer ‘Fast Track’ enrollment at main campus

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati State – taking a page from its recruiting efforts at its new Middletown campus – will offer expedited enrollment opportunities for prospective students at its main campus in Clifton on Saturday, August 4.

The “Fast Track” session will combine processes that can require separate visits to campus. Prospective students will be able to:

  • Apply for admission
  • Complete applications for financial aid (and, if required, secure assistance in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA)
  • Take the placement test (used to help incoming students and their advisors make appropriate course selections)
  • Develop an education plan and register for classes

“The one-day, one-stop approach has proven to be quite popular in Middletown, and we want to see if it has the same appeal at the main campus,” said Dr. Anthony Cruz, Dean of Enrollment and Student Development.

“We know that some prospective students prefer to handle the entire enrollment process in person, and that a Saturday is more convenient than a weekday for some people,” he added. “We designed Fast Track to be friendly and efficient.”

The Fast Track session on August 4 will begin at 9 a.m. in the Answer Center in the Main Building at the Clifton Campus (3520 Central Parkway, Cincinnati 45223) and last until 3 p.m.

The COMPASS placement testing program will open at 8 a.m. on Aug. 4, with the last tests beginning at 1 p.m. No children are permitted in the testing lab.

Those who wish to complete their financial aid applications should bring copies of their 2011 W2 and federal and state income tax forms; prospective students under age 23 must bring parental tax information as well.

Those planning to attend the Fast Tract Saturday event on Saturday are asked to contact Lana Teetor at (513) 569-1549 or lana.teetor@cincinnatistate.edu. (RSVPs are requested but not required.)

Additional information about Cincinnati State and the process for enrollment is available through the Office of Admission at (513) 861-7700 or www.cincinnatistate.edu/admission.
