KENNEDY HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) - Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld, CPS' Safe Routes To School Program, and the City's Transportation Department are partnering to promote Cincinnati Automotive Road Safety (C.A.R.S) Week beginning Monday, August 13.
"We came up with the idea for C.A.R.S. Week because we wanted to bring awareness to some of the most common and also most dangerous driving habits - things like speeding, texting while driving, not wearing seat belts and not being mindful of pedestrians and bicyclists," said Sittenfeld.
Throughout C.A.R.S. Week, Cincinnati Citicable will run public service announcements featuring facts about the impact of unsafe driving habits, as well as offering tips to keep you safe on the road.
"With thousands of Cincinnati students about to head back to school, right now is the right time to bring more attention to driver safety," said Sittenfeld.
