Project Runway alum promoting new collection at Bridal and Formal

READING, OH (FOX19) - Nationally acclaimed designer Austin Scarlett will promote his new collection at Bridal and Formal in Reading.

Scarlett has launched his first complete bridal gown collection under his own label. Scarlett, known for his appearance on relaity show Project Runway, will be at Bridal and Foraml on Friday, November 16 from 11am - 5pm and Saturday, November 17 from 9:30am - 5pm.

On the original season of Project Runway, Austin won the programs first challenge ever with his famed corn husk dress.  He went on to become one of the youngest designers in history to be named Creative Director of a couture wedding and eveningwear collection in 2006, creating six seasons of gowns for the design house.

Scarlett exclaims: "A wedding dress is the expression of a woman's unique beauty at her most treasured moment.  I am overjoyed at last to be able to fulfill the dreams of all my beautiful brides!"

The Main Library hosts the Taft Museum of Art as it celebrates 80 years of art

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County is hosting Nancy Huth, the Taft Museum of Art’s curator of education, as she presents a series of illustrated talks at the Main Library, 800 Vine St.

Huth’s talks will showcase the fascinating history, art, and families of the Taft Museum of Art. All of the events are being held in the Main Library’s Reading Garden Lounge on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

UC fashion design student is finalist in Kardashian contest

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A 4th-year fashion student at UC's DAAP college, Kelsey Fairhurst, is one of three finalists in a contest being held by the Kardashian sisters. 

The design is for a t-shirt.  It is now up to the voters on Facebook to determine the winner.
