Zoo Festival of Lights traffic forces temporary bus detours

Zoo Festival of Lights traffic forces temporary bus detours

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - As of 5:30 p.m. Thursday, there is so much traffic trying to get into the Cincinnati Zoo Festival of Lights that Metro buses are being forced to take a short detour.

Route 46 buses, which normally travel north and south on Dury Avenue on the east side of the Zoo, are instead using Wilson Avenue, which is one block further east.

The detour should not affect travel times much, but will prevent anyone getting on or off the bus on Dury or the blocks of Forest, Rockdale, and Hearne just east of the zoo.  The detour should be quickly dropped once most of the people visiting the Zoo get inside.
