Metro's Winter Service and Transfer Changes Start in December

Metro's Winter Service and Transfer Changes Start in December

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Metro’s new farebox transfers and winter service changes will go into effect Sunday, Dec. 4. Sixteen routes have changes, most minor schedule time adjustments, and other changes are related to the opening of Metro’s Glenway Crossing Transit Center and Park & Ride.

Farebox Changes

Starting on December 4, when a customer pays for a transfer, the farebox will automatically issue the transfer and print the time that the transfer expires – 90 minutes from the time it is issued. To use on the next bus, the customer simply inserts the transfer into the slot on the top of the farebox. Zone checks, which are needed when buses travel from one zone to another, will also be issued from the farebox.

“The H80 engine performed extremely well in the first flight on the L410,” said Miroslav Kozisek, product support director at Aircraft Industries. “The flight test crew put the aircraft and engines through many maneuvers, and the results are very promising as we begin our flight tests. We look forward to certifying the aircraft/engine combination and offering our customers the new H80 engines as a powerplant on the L410.”

“This flight is the first time the H80 engine has powered a commuter plane, and the team is thrilled with the initial test flight data,” said Paul Theofan, president and managing executive of GE Aviation's Business and General Aviation Turboprops.
