Woman's City Club/ First Unitarian program looks at fossil-fuel economy

Woman's City Club/ First Unitarian program looks at fossil-fuel economy

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - On Friday, December 2, Doctors Heather Reynolds and Dave Rollo from Bloomington, Indiana will speak on “Peak Oil and Building Community Resilience” -- how, as the costs of our carbon-based economy rise, and the production in traditional energy sources fall, we are called upon to build other, more resilient supports for our common life.  They will explain the failures of our current economic system and describe the changes we must make to achieve environmental sustainability.

The program takes place from 7-9 pm at the First Unitarian Church 536 Linton Street, off Reading Road, in Avondale.  It is presented by the Social Justice Committee of First Unitarian Church and Woman’s City Club joined by the Cincinnati Office for Environmental Quality.

This lecture is part of a series of  monthly Friday night public program of films and speakers that will challenge the idea that we must choose between a strong economy and a healthy plan
